ICE CREAM DEALERS.
Fifty-three premises have been visited where Ice Cream is
made and stored, and a circular left with each occupier as to the
provisions of the Wood Green District Council Act, 1903.
All the premises visited are Shops from which Ice Cream is
retailed in glasses.
In three instances we have had to call the occupiers attention
to the dirty floors; one case to the dirty state of the yard at rear
where the Ice was stored; and in one case to the dirty walls and
ceiling of the shop.
I am glad to say that upon a re-visit these matters were
remedied without having to take any further action.
Ice Cream is a comestible in which milk is largely used, and
the premises from which it is sold ought to be licensed by the
Local Authority as well as by drastic Bye-Laws framed for the
carrying on of such business.
Visits to above Premises, 62.
