Milkshops.—There are 143 milkshops in the district,
all of which were inspected at least three times during the
year. On the whole the premises were found to be kept
in a satisfactory condition. 44 contraventions of the
Dairies, Cowsheds & Milkshops Order were observed, and
notices in all instances were served and duly complied with.
Bakehouses.—There are 68 bakehouses in the district,
47 of which are above ground and 21 underground. They
were all inspected at least twice during the year. Generally
the conditions relating to cleanliness, lighting and ventilation
were well maintained. 39 contraventions of the Factory
and Workshop Act were discovered, notices served and
duly complied with.
Sale of Food and Drugs Acts.—The administration
of these Acts is in the hands of the Middlesex County
Council, and the following Table, No. 30, shewing the work
done in Willesden, has been kindly supplied me by Mr.
Robinson, Chief of the Weights and Measures Staff.
