The following is a summary of the work carried out
during 1936:—
Total number of carcases examined, 17,825.
Bovines, 78; Sheep and Lambs, 7,298; Calves, 382; Pigs,
10,067.
(1935. Bovines, 84; Sheep and Lambs, 3,691; Calves, 112;
Pigs, 2,105. Total, 5,992.)
As a result of these examinations, 376 separate diseased or unsound conditions were discovered, the carcases or organs receiving the necessary attention. Details of these conditions are as follows:—
