LABORATORY FACILITIES.
The following tables set out the work carried out at the
Council's laboratory and at other laboratories to which material
was sent during 1935.
As hitherto, the great bulk of the material obtained for
examination emanates from the Isolation Hospital. There can be
iio doubt that the existence of a laboratory within the Borowrh
has facilitated and improved the routine examination of diphtheri t
swabs, swabs for hreinolytic streptococci, and sputa. Other
specimens, including virulence tests, continue to be sent to the
Clinical Research Association and the laboratory of the Prince
of Wales's Hospital.
