Complications.—The complications met with during 1934
were as follows—
Scarlet Fever.—(Total of 274 cases treated during the year.)

The percentage of complications is practically identical with
the figure obtained for the last two years, the most prominent
feature being once again the incidence of otorrhoea. The type of
complication was for the most part mild and responded adequately
to treatment. In addition to these complications, one patient
developed a secondary rash.
Diphtheria.—Apart from the 8 fatal cases met with, 25 complications
occurred amongst the 203 cases treated during the year.
These were as follows—
