INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
The year 1925 has again been a very satisfactory one
from the point of view of incidence of Infectious Disease. As
in 1924, no serious outbreak of any form of Infectious Disease
occurred.
During the year 28 Certificates of Notifications of
Infectious Disease were received, which comprised:—
Scarlet Fever 5
Diphtheria 4
Enteric Fever Nil
Puerperal Fever 1
Erysipelas 2
Pneumonia 13
Ophthalmia Neonatorum Nil
Encephalitis Lethargica 2
Acute Poliomyelitis Nil
Cerebro-spinal Fever 1
Malaria Nil
Reference to Table I. in the Appendix will show:—
1. Cases notified at ages.
2. Total cases removed to Hospital.
3. Deaths.

SCARLET FEVER.
A decrease took place in the number of cases of Scarlet
Fever notified, viz., 5 as against 12 last year.
Four cases were removed to the Isolation Hospital.
The monthly incidence of Scarlet Fever was:—
