INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
Although eight more cases have been notified during
this year than last, twenty-two have been notified as
occurring in public institutions in the district. Leaving
these out the number of actual cases belonging to the
district are very low; only 2 cases being notified for
every 1,000 inhabitants, or, more correctly, 2.4 per 1,000.
Not one case of Small-Pox, Cholera, Membranous
Croup, Typhus, Relapsing, Continued or Puerperal Fevers
was notified during the year.
As compared with the previous year, Diphtheria shows
a decrease of 7 cases, and Erysipelas one, but Enteric
Fever an increase of 2 cases.
In the following table it will be seen how many were
notified in each month.
