Report by Authority's Senior Dental Officer
(A. E. Hall, L.D.S.)
Once again I regret I have to draw attention to the melancholy
fact that the School Dental Service is rapidly disintegrating due to
lack of dental surgeons to treat the children. Not only are dental
officers leaving the school service throughout the country; but,
what is far more serious from the long-term point of view, there
is no recruitment of young practitioners wishing to make the
treatment of children their life's work.
