DISINFECTION.
During the year 2,000 rooms were disinfected by formalin
spray, and textile articles such as bedding, clothing, &c., removed
from infected homes to the Council's Disinfecting Station for
treatment in the steam disinfector.

UNSOUND FOOD.

The following parcels of food were surrendered as unfit for human consumption and subsequently destroyed:—

6 bags greens2 boxes roker
6 pecks strawberries1 trunk plaice
24 rabbits1 box mackerel
1 buttock beef (82 lbs.)1 trunk whiting
3 tins condensed milk4 boxes kippers
10 tins sardines1 trunk small haddocks
1 box cole fish1 box large haddocks
1 barrel and 2 parcels crabs (in all 197).
