SECTION F.
PREVALENCE OF, AND CONTROL OVER,
INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
General.
There is no appreciable alteration in the incidence of scarlet
fever during the year. The number of cases of diphtheria fell
from 39 in 1936 to 13 in 1937. There was no case of diphtheria
amongst the children immunised at the Clinic. The number
of cases of diphtheria has fallen by 80 per cent, over the figures
for the year 1935, in the end of which year the Diphtheria
Immunisation Clinic was started.
