There are now thirty-three persons registered in accordance
with the Milk and Dairies (Amendment) Act, 1922, as under:—
Wholesale Traders or Producers of Milk9
Retail Purveyors of Milk with premises in the
district11
Retail Purveyors of Milk whose premises are
outside the district13
Total 33
(b) Meat.
During the year the proprietor of the Cherry Farm slaughterhouse
notified the Council that he proposed to work in three
shifts throughout the twenty-four hours. As it was impossible
to make adequate inspection with the staff available, an additional
temporary meat inspector was appointed to assist in the
task.
