Dairies and milkshops
The register of dairies and milk shops records the following
registrations: —

No. of milkshops 35
No. of producer/retailers 0
Regular inspections have been made at the above
throughout the year.
E (2)f Ice-Cream
126 premises in the Borough are registered for the sale
of ice-cream.
There are 3 active manufacturers of ice-cream (2 boil
mix and 1 cold mix).
Bacteriological sampling
11 samples were obtained and forwarded for bacteriological
examination with the following results:
Grade 1 9
Grade 2 1
Grade 3 1
The Food Standards (Ice-Cream) Order of 1953 has
been revoked and replaced by The Food Standards (IceCream)
Regulations 1959 which Regulations now recognise
