B(5)c. Ante-natal In-patient Accommodation.
The need for increased institutional accommodation, for
maternity cases within the area, has again been under consideration
during the year, and serious attention is being given to
the provision of a new Maternity Home with increased
accommodation.
B (5) d. Abnormal Cases.
Accommodation for abnormal maternity cases, in need of
hospital treatment is provided for by an arrangement between
this Council and the City of London Maternity Hospital. Eight
cases were admitted under this arrangement during the year.

B(6). Infant Life Protection.
The Health Visitors are responsible for the execution of
Infant Life Protection work. As a general rule they undertake
routine visiting in their own districts.
