LABORATORY FACILITIES

The Middlesex County Council is the Authority under the Sale of Food and Drugs
Acts.
AMBULANCE FACILITIES

The Council possesses three ambulances, housed at the Fire Brigade Station, and the following figures, kindly supplied by the Superintendent, give some idea of the work carried out during the year:-

First aid was rendered on 265 occasions, whilst the resuscitating
apparatus was in use 11 times. Tho bedside apparatus for the supply of
oxygen was requested by 20 patients.
The total mileage of the vehicles was 41,935 miles.
The Council's small bus conveys tho deaf and dumb and partially blind
children to and from school, picks up a few other children in tho morning
taking them to a spot to meet the guide; also conveys children to and from
London railway termini in connection with convalescent home treatment.
NURSING IN THE HOME

HOSPITALS
Infectious fevers are admitted into the Enfield, Edmonton and Potters
Bar Joint Isolation Hospital, situated in Enfield.
