PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS.
In 1941 there were fever deaths from pulmonary tuberculosis than in 1940
but the reduction was only in men, the female deaths showing no appreciable
change. The greatest reduction occurred in the 25-35 years age group.
The highest peak in men was in the 45-55 years age group and in women,
the 25-35 years age group.
On the other hand, there was a greater number of new cases in 1941 than
in 1940, again this increase was confined to men. In women, however, the
incidence fell more on the younger omen, 15-25 years, than in the previous
year. In men the increase has been in the 45-55 years group.
