A NNUAL REPORT
OF THE
SCHOOL MEDICAL OFFICER
FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31ST, 1940.
Ladies and Gontlomon,
I have the honour to present to you my
thirteenth Annual Report on the work carried out by the School
Medieal Service.
The report has been drastically ourtailed,
though the work has been continued upon "the same basis as has
been shown in pre-war reports.
In order that continuity should not be
broken full statistics are being kept, but only the more important
Tables are now included in tho report, whilst letterpress has
been reduced to the minimum consistent with retaining readability.
Owing to the requirements of H.M. Forces
changes have oc«ured in staff and at times, owing to pressure
of other duties, the department has been hard pressed. I rnsh to
renew my thanks to them for the manner in whi«h they have overcome
difficulties. To the members of the Education Committee and
to the Eduoation Officer and his staff I am grateful for the ready
advice and co-operation I have at all times reoeived.
