SWIMMING BATHS OH POOLS
The Martens Grove Swimming Pool proved popular
in fine weather. The running of the. Ozone Purification
Plant had not been perfected and the quality of the
water will be improved when this is done. Samples for
bacterological analysis were taken weekly during the
season.
ERADICATION OF THE BED BUG
, Particulars of the action taken in 1939 for the
eradication of the Bed Bug-are as follows:-

The method employed for freeing infested houses is
by (a) Spray - "Lethane" liquid Concentrate. (b) Fumigation
- "Sanitas" Roll Sulphur Trays. "Thermatox."
A preliminary inspection is made of all, prospective
Council tenants.
The work of disinfestation is- carried out bythe
Local Authority.
