year as from 1st April, 1935. It was also decided that the experiment should be
extended to include a fourth evening institute, and that the arrangements should
apply to all students under 16 years of age.
In addition the Council decided that, as from 1st April, 1935, the medical officer
should, as a rule, visit weekly each group (boys and girls) of juveniles attending junior
instruction centres for the purpose of conducting a medical inspection of such
juveniles as are willing to undergo inspection; but that a juvenile should not be
presented to a medical officer until he (or she) had been in attendance for at least
one week, subject to any juvenile in regard to whom advice is required being
inspected at any time.
