Other Businesses giving rise to Effluvia.—lists are kept in the department of
the three trades mentioned below. At the end of 1913 there were included in
these lists 80 fried fish shops, 14 fish-smoking places, and 38 rag and bone
stores.
The lists were given in last year's report on pages 187 to 190.
143 inspections and 16 re-inspections were made of these premises during
the year.
The amended draft of proposed by-laws under the London County Council
(General Powers) Act, 1908, in respect of fried fish vendors, fish curers, and
rag and bone dealers were again submitted to the Council by the London
County Council during 1913 and approved.
Constructional Drain Work.
The construction of, and repairs to, house drains are supervised by the
sanitary inspectors.
