DEATHS.
The number of deaths that were registered during the year as having
taken place in the Borough was 3409.
Of these 728 were of persons whose residence was not in St. Pancras (nonparishioners),
650 dying in St. Pancras Institutions, and 78 in other places
in the Borough.
There were also reported by the Registrar-General 611 deaths of St.
Pancras parishioners who died in institutions in other parts of the County of
London, and of 51 who died in other parts of England and Wales.
This correction gives the net. number of deaths for St. Pancras registered
during the year as 3343, making an annual death-rate of 15.0 per 1000
population.
As compared with England and Wales for sex and age distribution, the
factor of correction for St. Pancras is 0.9971, which makes the death-rate so
corrected 15.0 per 1000 of population per annum.
