CAUSES OF DEATH.
ZYMOTIC DISEASES.
The principal Zymotic Diseases caused 645 deaths, a diminution of 74 as
compared with the previous year, the diminution being due to Scarlatina, Diarrhœa,
and Whooping Cough, whereas Enteric Fever, Diphtheria, and Measles showed
an increase. Compared with the annual average numbers of the previous ten years
there is a diminution of 77 due to the same diseases, and the same diseases showing
an increase.
