III.—Bread and Cereals.

These included:—

As in 1903 all the articles under this head were genuine.

IV.—Drugs.

The Drugs included the following:—
Lime Water4 samples.
Cream of Tartar3 ,,
Camphorated Oil3 ,,
Cod Liver Oil3 ,,
Epsom Salts1 „
Lead and Opium Pills1 ,,
Compound Tincture of Rhubarb1 ,,
Carbonate of Iron Pills1 ,,
Olive Oil1 ,,
Crushed Linseed1 ,,
Licorice Powder1 ,,
20 samples.

All the drugs examined proved to be genuine, whereas in 1903
in per cent. impurity was registered.

V. Meats.

Under this head were included:—
Sausages4 samples.
Bacon4 ,,
8 samples.

Of these, one sample of sausages was found to contain a Boric
preservative equivalent to 30 grains of Boric acid per lb. The
remaining seven were genuine.
