From all Tubercular diseases the rates for the sub-districts of
Clapham, Streatham and Tooting, shows an increase compared with
1903, while in Putney and Wandsworth there is a slight decrease.
With regard to Tubercular disease of the lungs, Clapham,
Streatham and Tooting are considerably higher, and Putney slightly
higher than last year, while in Wandsworth this rate is slightly
lower.
The increase in Clapham is very marked, the number of deaths
having increased from 50 to 68, and the rate from .93 to 1.24
per 1,000.
The rate from other Tubercular diseases is 09 lower than it was
in 1903, and this decrease is general in all the sub-districts.
The rate from Tubercular disease of the lungs was lowest in Streatham,
where it was only .79, and highest in Wandsworth 1.30, while
from all Tubercular diseases the rate was lowest in Putney and highest
in Tooting and Wandsworth.
The following Table shows the death-rate per 100,000 from
Tubercular disease of the lungs for the whole Borough, and for the
separate sub-districts for the year as well as for the preceding ten
years. f
