PAVING WORKS, IMPROVEMENTS, &c.,
Allfarthing Lane
The carriageway has been widened from 20 to 24 ft. from
South Street to the Grove, the footpath on the north
side has been kerbed and paved with artificial paving
and Scoriae block channelling laid at a total cost of £605 1s. 2d.
Balham Hill.
The footpath in front of new shops on the south side of
Hazelbourne Road, has been paved with artificial stone
at a cost of £62 2s. 5d.
Bellevue Road
Scoriae block channelling has been laid on both sides of the
road at a cost of £55 1s.
Burntwood Lane.
The road between Garratt Lane and Maxwell's Cottage has
been widened from about 39 ft. to 54 ft. and the
footpath kerbed, channelled and paved at the cost
of the owners.
Clapham Old Town,
Two granite sett crossings have been laid, one across the Old
Town from the Pavement to the Refuge lamp, and
the other from the Refuge lamp towards the Library
at a cost of £75 15s. 7d.
