The Tables which follow summarise the work which has been
done during the year 1903 by the lady Sanitary Inspector These
differ to some extent from the Tables in the Report for 1902, and
are more complete and detailed.
The total number of premises visited and inspected was
2,367, compared with 1,429 in 1902.
80 inspections were made of factories, 1,181 of workshops 286
of domestic workshops, 405 of workplaces, and 158 of outworkers'
premises, while 257 houses were visited for inquiry and no workroom
found.
The number of workshops inspected and re-inspected was
1,181, compared with 783 in 1902, of domestic workshops and
workplaces 693 in 1903 and 301 in 1902, and of outworkers'
premises 158 in 1903 and 138 in 1902,
