N.B.—There were, in addition, during 1917, 7 military cases notified, 1 acute
polio-myelitis (polio-encephalitis) case, and one cerebro-spinal fever case,

previously or subsequently received from a medical man.

polio-myelitis (polio-encephalitis) and 6 cerebro-spinal fever. The acute
died. All the military cases were treated in hospital.
St. Thomas's Hospital, suddenly, on February 14th, 1917, and in connection
of " death from acute polio-myelitis," no notification certificate having been
Belgrave Children's Hospital, suddenly, on December 30th, 1916. and in
Coroner of " death from cerebro-spinal fever," the case being afterwards.
