PETROLEUM INSPECTOR'S REPORT,
The total number of licences issued for the storage of
petroleum spirit for the year was 67 and the quantity of petroleum
which could be stored under normal conditions 106,788 gallons.
The actual quantity stored is difficult to give because some petrol
tanks have been taken over by the Petroleum Board and some
for A.R.P. purposes. Moreover, a much smaller quantity is kept
at the petrol stations than under normal conditions.
Hydro-Carbon.
One licence was issued for the storage of 100 gallons of
hydro-carbon.
Naphtha.
One licence was issued for the storage of 2,000 gallons
of naphtha.
Cellulose Spirit.
Two premises were licensed for the storage of 90 gallons of
cellulose spirit.
Carbide of Calcium.
There was one premises licensed for the storage of 10 cwts.
