GENERAL PROVISION OF HEALTH SERVICES
FOR THE AREA.
(Section B).
Under this heading the Minister of Health asks for an
account of any developments or changes during the year, with an
indication of those made owing to war, in—
1.—(a) Laboratory Facilities.
(b) Ambulance Facilities. No Material
(c) Nursing in the Home. Changes
(d) Treatment Centres and Clinics. During 1940
(e) Hospitals: Public and Voluntary.
3.— (i) Midwifery Service
(ii) Maternity Services
(iii) Institutional Provision for Mothers Special
or Children Section
(iv) Health Visitors.
(v) Child Life Protection.
(vi) Dental, Orthopædic, Etc., Treatment.

The specimens examined in the laboratory at the Isolation Hospital during 1940 were as follows:—

AMBULANCE FACILITIES.
Persons suffering from infectious diseases are removed to
hospital by arrangement with the London County Council. The
Borough Council provides an ambulance service for street
accidents and general cases.
