MATERNITY AND NURSING HOMES.
The Nursing Homes Registration Act, 1927, is administered
in the Borough of Hornsey by the Middlesex County Council.
There are 24 registered Nursing Homes in the Borough.
MATERNAL, MORTALITY.
Four maternal deaths occurred in the total of 1,209 births
during the year — representing a maternal mortality rate of
3.3 per 1,000 births. No special arrangements have been made
for the investigation of maternal deaths or of cases of puerperal
fever or puerperal pyrexia.
