Notifications of Infectious Disease.—There were 383
cases of Infectious Disease notified during the year. If increase of
population is taken into account this is one of the best records.
Both Diphtheria and Scarlet Fever have been less prevalent than
usual. There have also been very few cases of Enteric Fever in
the Borough during the year. The only increase in cases notified
over last year is in the case of Erysipelas. Reference to the
table printed below will show the cases of infectious disease notified
in the Borough for several years.
