The detection and successful prosecution of fraudulent milk dealers is not
always easy, but on the contrary is at times most difficult, and not always
unattended with danger. The following particulars, already reported to the
Public Health Committee, illustrate the matter. They are interesting and instructive
as showing the audacity of some of those leather-lunged rascals who
periodically crop up in populous places, and especially in London: —
