HOUSING.
The circular addressed by the Ministry of Health to Local Authorities
regarding the Annual Reports of Medical Officers of Health for 1930,
lays particular emphasis on Housing. At the time the circular was
issued, the Housing Bill, which has become the Housing Act, 1930, was
before Parliament. It was, therefore, desired that Medical Officers in
their reports for 1930 should direct early attention to housing defects
in their areas, and be in a position to compile accurate records regarding
the housing position generally, and should deal more extensively than
heretofore with this subject.
This section of the report for 1930 is divided into sections (a) and (b).
