Children suffering from whooping-cough are also visited by the
women inspectors. Nine children were removed to Metropolitan
Asylums Board's hospitals. Disinfection of nine rooms was carried
out.

School teachers are required to notify the Medical Officer of Health
when they exclude children on account of infectious disease.

A copy of each notification of fever, diphtheria, &c., received from
medical men is sent to the head teacher of the school attended by the
patient (if a child), or by any child who is an inmate of the same house
as the patient. In this way 346 notifications were sent out during 1911
to school teachers as follows;—
