DIARRÆA
The deaths from Diarrhaea and enteritis numbered 61. 21 notifications
were received during the months of July, August and September
The number of deaths in infants under 2 years of age was 54.
This shows a slight rise in the deaths from Diarrhaea in spite of the
facts that the summer was on the whole a cool one and no great number
of flies was noticeable compared with the previous year.

The deaths from this disease were 27 for the year.
The annual death-rate per 1,000 living was 0.14.

INFLUENZA.
The deaths from this disease were 25 for the year.
The annual death rate per 1,000 living was 0.13.
It will be seen from the subjoined table that there was a considerable
fall in the deaths from Influenza. The type of disease was not so fatal
as in preceding years.
