SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACTS.
During the year ending 31st December, 1910, 1,658 samples were
taken by the Inspectors.*
The following Table shews the localities in which these samples were
taken:—

104 of these samples were certified as adulterated, a percentage
of 6.3. Compared with the percentage of adulteration for the previous
year an increase of 0.6 is shewn.
Particulars of the samples taken together with the results of the
analyses are given in table 69.
*Mr. Howes, inspector for Trinity Ward, carried out his duties as Assistant
Inspector under the Food and Drugs Acts, at different periods, amounting to eighteen
week days during 1910.
