BAKEHOUSES.
During the year 444 inspections were made of the various bakehouses.
The following defects were discovered by the Inspector, who found
it necessary to serve 66 intimation notices, in order to obtain the
abatement of the conditions complained of:—
Bakehouses dirty and those requiring limewashing 57 cases
Dirty troughs l ease
Floors defective 8 cases
Ceilings defective 8 „
Animals found in bakehouse 2 „
Flour stores dirty 6 „
Yard paving defective 1 case
Rainwater pipe and gutters defective 1 „
Dust bin defective 2 cases
Closet pan dirty 2 „
Closet pan defective 1 case
Total 89 cases
All the above nuisances were remedied.
Each bakehouse was limewashed or the walls washed at least
twice during the year.
Certificates have been granted during the year to the undermentioned
bakehouses:—
