Infectious Diseases in Milkshops and Homeworkers' Premises.
No cases of infectious disease were connected with milkshops.
Twelve premises with outworkers were connected with infectious
cases notified: 2 (1 scarlet fever and 1 diphtheria) in Poplar, 4 (2 scarlet
fever and 2 diphtheria) in Bromley, and 6 (4 scarlet fever, 1 diphtheria
and I erysipelas) in Bow.
No notices were served under the Factory and Workshop Act, 1901,
Sections 108 and 110, but, where there was any risk of infection the work
was discontinued, and any work found on the premises was disinfected
before being returned. No cases of measles were connected with outworkers'
premises.

Other articles also passed through the Council's apparatus, from
the Shelter, Glaucus Street, disinfectors' clothing, overalls, drop-sheets,
etc., to the number of 13,406 and 25,915 articles of clothing from verminous
persons were disinfected
Making a total of 66,738 articles
A large quantity of bon-bons were destroyed at the Council's
apparatus from premises where a case of scarlet fever had occurred.
