Of the 406 patients notified in Poplar, 381 were removed to hospitals
and institutions ; of the 530 in Bromley 499 were isolated, and of the 260
in Bow 243 were removed, so that of a total of 1,196 notifiable diseases
in the Borough 1,123 patients (exclusive of ophthalmia neonatorum) had
been removed from their homes.*
