Exclusion of Infant Scholars :—

In the following Schools children under the age of compulsory school attendance, i.e.,five years of age, were excluded when infectious disease was prevalent in the neighbourhood.

BACTERIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSES.

During the period under review 1,182 Examinations were made of the sputum, blood or throat membrane and mucus of persons suspected to be suffering from either Pulmonary Tuberculosis, Enteric Fever or Diphtheria, of which 294, or 24.87 per cent., gave positive results.
