NON-NOTIFIABLE INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
The principal infectious diseases which are not compulsorily
notifiable by medical practitioners, are Measles, Whooping
Cough, Chicken.Pox, Mumps, and Ringworm. The existence of
these diseases in children attending the elementary schools is
brought to our notice by the Head Teachers, and, also, in the
case of Measles, by the School Attendance Officers.

The following is a summary of the cases notified from Schools:—

SCHOOLS.
The following is a list of Schools in which classrooms
were closed with a view of preventing the spread of infection :—
Northbrook School, Lee.—Infants' Department, closed
from 12th February to 3rd March.—Measles.
Stillness Road School.—Girls' Department, closed on
16th April for 14 days.—Scarlet Fever.
Haseltine Road School.—Infants' Department, closed
from 29th April to 19th May.—Measles.
Bell Green School, Lower Sydenham.— Infants'
Department, closed from 29th April to 19th May.—Measles.
St. Philip's R.C. School, Lower Sydenham.—Infants'
Department, closed from 29th April to 19th May.—Measles.
