The total number of Deaths registered in the Borough
during the year was 1,789.
After deducting the deaths of non-residents dying within
the Borough (272), and adding those of residents of the Borough
dying outside (209), a corrected total of 1,726 is obtained, compared
with 1,842 in the previous year. The average number of
deaths in the 10 years, 1902-11, was 1,708.
The corrected death rate for the Borough was 10.51 per
1,000 of the population, compared with 11.43 per 1,000 in 1911.
