The Notification of Births Act, 1907.
During the year 3279 notifications of births were received
under the above-named Act. In 856 cases the notification was
only received after a notice had been sent to the father from
this Department.

The following Table shows the number of cases notified, the person by whom notified, whether the children were born alive or dead, and the total number of births registered in the Borough:—

MARRIAGES.
The number of Marriages in the Borough during the year
was 1,101, compared with 1,061 in 1911, and 1,015 in 1910. Of
this number, 641 were solemnized at the Established Church,
125 at Nonconformist Places of Worship, and 335 at the
Register Office.
