CHILD LIFE PROTECTION.
Public Health (London) Act, 1936.
At the end of the year there were 37 foster-children being
cared for in the Borough, and 28 names on the list of
foster-mothers.
The Health Visitors are responsible for visiting the
homes of all foster-children in their various districts.
Nineteen foster-mothers were removed from the list
for various reasons and ten new foster-mothers were permitted
to replace them.
A summary of the work carried out during the year
under review follows:—
