When enquiries were made of the vendor regarding the very considerable difference in the amount of phosphorus declared and the amount found in the sample the trader stated that it was an "old line" and the two remaining packets in stock were withdrawn from sale.
139	Dessert Topping, Chocolate Fudge	Contained benzoic acid, 400 parts per million. This article is not permitted to contain benzoic acid preservative.	The remaining stocks of this product, which is manufactured in America, have been withdrawn from sale by the retailer concerned. The importer states that no further supply of this commodity is being imported.
181	Spring Vegetable Soup Preparation	Contained sulphur dioxide, 180 parts per million, the presence of which was not disclosed on the label.	Manufacturer informed of Public Analyst's c o m -ments and asked for observations thereon.
225	Jarlsber- gost Cheese	Consisted of a Medium Fat Hard Cheese but was not labelled in the manner required by the Cheese Regulations.	Store manager seen and advised that besides indicating the name of the cheese the Regulations require that the cheese shall also bear the description "medium fat hard cheese".
