12Dietetic WaferContained cyclamic acid, 0.25%, Cyclamic acid is an artificial sweetener not permitted in food by the Artificial Sweeteners in Food Regulations.This product was in the retailer's shop before the ban on the use of cyclamates in food was introduced on 30th December, 1969. The remaining stocks have now been withdrawn from sale.
29Export ShandyContained proof spirit, 0.8%. Shandy should contain at least 1.5% of proof spirit.Since the sample was obtained the remaining stock has been sold and no further supply of this product is anticipated.
54Dry Celery SoupDescribed as Celery Soup with Soya Bean Oil, but consisted of a block made from celeriac and hardened vegetable oil.The distributors of this product which is imported from Norway have been informed of the Public Analyst's comments on the sample and asked to obtain the observations of the manufacturers.
76"Yeoman"Consisted of Mashed Potato Mix, inadequately labelled, the common or usual name of the food not being specified.Manufacturer advised of Public Analysts comments and asked for observations thereon.
