Food
Food Hygiene.
While the formation of a clean Food Guild remains in abeyance,
informal talks and advice were given by the Inspector during his
visits to the various food premises. Co-operation with the Food
Office has been maintained and no new licences for restaurants and
snack bars were issued by the Food Office until the premises were
considered satisfactory by this department.
Adulteration of Food.
750 samples of Food and Drugs were submitted to the Public
Analyst, who reported only 7 as being "not genuine." The practice
of taking most samples informally has been continued, those adversely
reported upon being sampled formally.
