(ii) Failing to provide suitable and sufficient cupboard or locker
accommodation for clothing and footwear not worn during
working hours of all persons engaged in handling of food on
or about the premises.
(iii) Falling to keep floor, windows and woodwork of restaurant clean
and in such good order, repair and condition as to enable
them to be effectively cleaned.
(iv) Failing to keep walls, ceiling and woodwork of kitchen clean
and in such good order, repair and condition as to enable
them to be effectively cleaned.
The Justices imposed fines totalling £20 and awarded £3.0.0d.
costs to the Council.
Summonses were taken out against a street trader in respect of
the undermentioned offences:-
(i) Falling to provide suitable screening at the sides and back
of fish stall in such a manner as to prevent any mud, filth
or other contaminating substance from being deposited upon
any fish thereon.
(ii) Failing to provide a suitable covered receptacle for waste
trimmings, refuse and rubbish at fish stall.
The Justices imposed fines totalling £6 and awarded £2.0.0d.
costs to the Council.
In addition, it was found necessary on 22 occasions to serve notices in respect of the following requirements of the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1955, at other food premises in the Borough:-
