The deaths of 767 residents of Battersea aged 65 years and
upwards were registered during 1964. These 767 deaths constituted
66.6 per cent, of the total deaths at all ages.
The natural increase of population (that is, excess of births over
deaths) was 1,106 in 1964 as compared with 1,073 in 1963.
The causes of the 1,152 deaths in 1964, classified in age groups, are
shown in the following table, compiled from figures supplied by the
Registrar-General:—
