CAUSES OF DEATH.
Table No. 12 shows that 178 deaths were due to Organic Heart Disease
110 to Cancer, 18 to Bronchitis, 49 to Pneumonia, 48 to Pulmonary
Tuberculosis, 23 to Circulatory Diseases, 48 to Cerebral Haemorrhage, 37
to Influenza and 13 to Congenital Debility and Malformation.
Fifty-three per cent. of all deaths occurred in persons over 65 years
age.
RESPIRATORY DISEASES.
Table No. 13 shows the number of deaths from respiratory disease
during the past two years. The annual death rate, the number
deaths under 5 years, and the percentage of deaths occurring in childre
under 5 years of age is also shown :—

DEATHS OF CHILDREN 1-5 YEARS OF AGE.
The number of deaths of children between 1-2 years of age was
and between 2-5 years, 11. In the previous year these figures were
and 10 respectively. The causes of death are given during the past two
years.
