[Report of the Medical Officer of Health for Camberwell.

to lymphocytic choriomeningitis and at the request of the
Central Public Health Laboratory, investigations were made at
the patient's home address for mice infestation.
There was no evidence of such vermin in the rooms occupied
by the patient, but two mice trapped in the flat below were
forwarded to the above Laboratory and it is understood that a
virus with the characteristics of lymphocytic choriomeningitis
virus was isolated from the brains of these mice.
Influenza.
This disease did not give rise to any anxiety during the year.
The deaths numbered only 14, of which 9 were of persons over
65 years of age.
